Kelowna, BC – November 28, 2017 –  Prospera Place is opening its doors once again for the highly anticipated holiday event, Craft Culture. On December 9th and 10th shoppers are given the opportunity to find that perfect, one-of-a-kind gift for a friend or loved one. As Craft Culture enters its 5th year, generations of visitors and locals will come together to support artisans from B.C. and beyond as they showcase their work to the City of Kelowna. This one stop shop is the perfect opportunity for shoppers to browse over 175 booths of uniquely designed goods, ranging from fine knits and toys to jewelry and home décor.

“We aim to cater to all kinds of interests, hobbies and groups so that you can complete all of your holiday shopping in one place.” says event producer Karalyn Lockhart. “The event is an experience in itself where you can look through an assortment of beautiful, high quality, hand-made products, listen to the vendor’s stories, purchase that perfect gift and enjoy entertainment and live music, all under one roof.”

“It seems that now, more than ever, there is a shift in consumers placing value in the story and quality behind a product and meeting the individual who made it. We bring out the best selection of vendors in the region to make it easy and simple for people who care about supporting local businesses and who care about how the product was made, the love and care behind it. We create an experience for shoppers who want to bring back meaning in gift selecting and giving.”

Bring the whole family down and enjoy the kids’ area with games and activities provided by the City of Kelowna’s Park & Play program, virtual reality demos, and coloring stations.  Don’t forget your camera and snap a selfie or a group picture in the Holiday Themed photo booth. The City of Kelowna’s Santa Sleigh Bus will be parked in front of Prospera Place Sunday, Dec. 10th from 11:00am to 12:30pm. Families are invited to come see the bus, bring a donation and take a photo with Santa.

And why not take a break from shopping and sit back with a glass of wine! There will be a bar setup selling beer, wine and cider. Listen to live music from local favorites Farmer the Band and the White Sails A Cappella Chorus, and a Nutcracker performance by Mission Dance School. Chef Giulio Piccioli of One Big Table will be demonstrating easy holiday entertaining ideas on the cooking stage, and Cody Pollard of Fermented Dining will be showing us how to wow guests by make eggnog and mulled cider from scratch.
